Quality Planning
At Quality Plastics, Inc., quality is designed into the job from day one—not inspected in at the end. Each program begins with a documented quality plan in JobBOSS, then runs under our Build Quality In (BQI) approach, where every operator functions as an inspector responsible for the quality of work at their station.
Our approach
-
Job-specific quality plans define how we’ll meet your requirements—what to measure, how to measure it, and when—so production and inspection are aligned before the first part is made. (Quality plans specify standards, resources, and the sequence of activities for a given product or contract.)
-
Build Quality In (BQI): operators verify features as they work, preventing defects rather than passing them downstream.
-
Layered verification: setup and first-article checks, in-process checkpoints with clear reaction plans, and final acceptance to the drawing and PO.

Systems & records
-
ISO-compliant quality system supported by regularly calibrated inspection tools.
-
Traceable records: quality performance is recorded with the work order and retained for a minimum of five years.
What a QP quality plan typically includes
-
Critical-to-quality dimensions and tolerances
-
Measurement methods and gages/fixtures (with calibration IDs)
-
Sampling plans and acceptance criteria
-
First-article requirements and sign-off points
-
In-process checkpoints and reaction plans
-
Final inspection, packaging, and labeling checks
(These elements mirror best-practice quality plan structure.)
What you can expect
-
Clear, documented quality requirements before production
-
First-article verification and feedback for fast approval
-
In-process control that protects schedule and cost
-
Inspection summaries available upon request
